Dustin Taber: When serious disagreements or wrongs arise, society often relies on the legal system for assistance. In civil matters, this falls under the jurisdiction of the civil courts. Extremely complicated and multi-faceted, these courts endeavor to settle all torts or civil wrongs brought before them. While parties may choose to represent themselves, they will commonly instead choose to hire an attorney. Regardless of representation, however, they often must rely on the services of a private process server. This is the individual responsible for ensuring that legal documents are delivered lawfully and to the proper parties. Without proper delivery of these documents, the entire legal process comes to a screeching halt. It is an incredibly important role during the litigation process that is often overlooked and underappreciated. Not all process servers are created equal though.
As with any other professional demographic, process servers come with all different standards, abilities, and reputations. As there are so many rules and procedures involved to achieve proper service, it would be reasonable to think that there was a standardized training program that all servers were required to go through. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. While local requirements may vary, most areas have little to no training requirements in place. In fact, it’s a job that most people can have, so long as they meet basic criteria and have a clean criminal record. What’s worse is that those seeking out training, have historically had very few options available.
This massive nation-wide void (and run ins with other process servers) is what prompted me to start the Process Server Training Center. Given the significant role that our job plays with our clients, we owe it to them to give them the best we can offer. Anything short is an injustice to everybody involved.
Having owned and operated my own process serving business for over eleven years, I’ve gathered a wealth of knowledge concerning best practices and have seen first-hand what causes other process servers to fail. Frankly speaking, this knowledge has allowed me to grow my business into something that I once only dreamt of.
If you learn and apply the material from this course, there isn’t any reason why you too can’t be successful. Process Serving likely won’t make you rich but it can absolutely make you a fantastic living! At worst, it can be a very lucrative side hustle.
Enjoy job stability, knowing that process servers are unlikely to be phased out anytime in the foreseeable future. So long as there are disputes and people suing one another, we will always remain gainfully employed. When the economy is good, so are we. When the economy isn’t, we tend to be even better than before. This is truly a recession proof industry that can help you obtain or maintain the lifestyle that you’ve always wanted. Equally important is that is a profession which will hopefully bring you a deep sense of personal fulfillment and self-satisfaction.
Dustin Taber: and I thought these following two sentences would be good banners
Dustin Taber: The first one is:I used to tell others that, “I wanted more business than I knew what to do with”. Having now achieved that goal is something that I hold near and dear.
